Residential Architectural Landscaping
Front yards that welcome, backyards you actually use, and properties that drain instead of flood. Architectural landscaping is designed around your ideas and personal character — style, color scheme, and fashion decided together — then built and maintained by the same NWGD crews, to create your personal sanctuary.
What We Design & Build for Homes
-
Curb appeal & front yards
Entry sequence, foundation planting, lawn-to-bed balance, and the first impression the street gets.
-
Backyard living
Patios, shade, outdoor dining areas, and play space — zoned so they work together instead of fighting for the same corner.
-
Whole-yard transformations
When the property needs rethinking end to end: layout, planting, and hardscape decided together and built in one accountable project.
-
Drainage-aware yards
Standing water, soggy lawns, and foundation-line pooling addressed in how the yard is laid out and planted — not discovered after the install.
-
Planting design
Plant selections matched to your region — Gulf Coast heat and clay, North Texas watering schedules, or West Texas wind — arranged for structure now and maturity later.
-
Phased builds
A design you can build in stages as budget allows — with early phases placed so they never block later ones.
A Designed Project, or a Care Plan?
Both matter, and they solve different problems. Knowing which one your property needs saves you money in both directions.

How a Residential Project Runs
You’ll know the shape of the whole engagement from the first conversation — including the budget talk, which we have early on purpose.
-
01
Consultation
Walk us through the property, how you use it, and what’s not working.
-
02
Budget & scope
An honest conversation about what your range buys — before anything is committed.
-
03
Design together
Style, color scheme, layout, and plant selections decided with you, and agreed before installation begins.
-
04
Build
Our own crews install what was agreed — the people who shaped the design are the people accountable for it.
-
05
Care plan
A maintenance approach that keeps year three looking like week three.
Design happens inside the project, not as a separate product: we agree the concept, plants, and materials with you, then the same crews build it. Quality materials are sourced in bulk at the best market pricing to reduce the cost to you — and we’d rather quote honestly after seeing the property than advertise a number that moves.
Is this the right service for you?
A good fit if
The yard needs to change
You’re tired of a yard that doesn’t get used, you’re renovating and the outside should match, you just bought and want it done right once, or water goes where it shouldn’t every time it storms.
Not the right fit if
The yard just needs care
Mowing, edging, bed cleanups, seasonal color, washing — that’s the service plans, no project required. If you call us for a project and need care, we’ll route you honestly.
What does a residential project cost?
It depends on property size and scope, so we quote after seeing the property — and we’d rather do that than advertise a teaser number that changes. The budget conversation happens in the first meeting, and the price is fixed in the proposal before any work starts.
Can we build in phases?
Yes. The design covers the whole property; the build order fits your budget. Phase one is built knowing exactly what phases two and three will be.
Do you sell design plans on their own?
No. Design at NWGD is part of a built project — the crew that helps you shape the design is the crew accountable for building and maintaining it. If you only need drawings for another builder to work from, we’re honestly not the right fit, and we’ll say so on the first call.
