Property Care & Landscaping in Houston

NWGD is a Houston company — based on the TX-249 corridor in the city’s northwest. Our crews care for Houston homes, businesses, and communities on published recurring plans, and design and build landscapes for the conditions this city actually has: gumbo clay, brutal summers, and rain that arrives all at once.

Local knowledge

Designing for Houston conditions

  • Clay soil moves

Expansive gumbo clay swells wet and shrinks dry. Edging, beds, and plantings are installed for movement — or they crack and heave within a couple of seasons.

  • Rain arrives all at once

Houston storms drop inches in hours. How a yard is laid out, graded, and planted decides whether water leaves the property by plan or by accident — so it’s decided first.

  • Summer is the filter

If a plant palette can’t take July and August, it’s decoration on a timer. We plant heat- and humidity-proven material and put shade where people will actually sit.

Houston projects

Completed Houston-area work will publish to the portfolio as projects finish — documented with real photos, scope, timeline, and the challenges each site presented; nothing is published before it’s real. In the meantime, tell us about your property and we’ll walk you through what comparable work involves.

Do you serve all of Houston?

We work across the metro from our northwest base. Inside the loop, the energy corridor, and the north and west suburbs are routine; far southeast-side properties are quoted case by case with travel considered honestly.

What about permits or licensed trade work?

Most grounds care and landscaping work needs neither. Where a project does touch work that requires a licensed trade or professional — irrigation, electrical, structural — we tell you plainly, and that part is arranged with a suitably licensed provider. We don’t take on work we aren’t qualified to perform.

Where are you located?

Northwest Houston, on the TX-249 corridor. Most of the metro is within a practical drive for both recurring visits and project work — and neighboring areas like Cypress, Tomball, and Spring are effectively home turf.
